Rick J. Nehora is a partner at Rashtian Law Group. Rick’s practice focuses heavily on both plaintiff and defense-side litigation, ranging from business litigation, class actions, wrongful termination cases, construction litigation and lawsuits involving healthcare providers, as well as catastrophic injury actions, among others.
Rick represents and advises healthcare providers in his capacity as general counsel, while providing effective pre-claim counseling regarding insurance and indemnity protections, as well as other transactional representation to film investors, producers and directors.
Prior to joining Rashtian Law Group, Rick served as an attorney with two prominent national law firms where he represented institutional clients and small to medium-sized businesses. Rick has provided legal representation to numerous household names such as Bank of America, Citi Bank, J.P. Morgan Chase and Wells Fargo. Rick also managed and founded his own law firm in 2017.
As a litigator who handles cases from their pre-litigation inception, to and through trial, as well as in arbitration and mediation, Rick prides himself on aggressive advocacy and advancing his clients’ best interests. Rick’s practice is and continues to be unique in that he represents clients on both sides of the proverbial aisle, as plaintiffs and as defendants, which provides him with a distinctive ability to view cases from multiple angles and thereby allowing him to reach effective and favorable results for his clients in ways that an exclusively defense-oriented or plaintiff-oriented attorney may not be able to achieve.
Rick was awarded the Super Lawyers Rising Star designation in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021, the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 award and is a graduate of the CLM Litigation Management Institute and the American Board of Trial Advocacy’s College of Trial Advocacy. Rick is licensed to practice law in California and Arizona.
Rick graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and Santa Clara University School of Law, where he achieved Honor Roll and Dean’s List status. During law school, Rick clerked with the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara, which provided Rick with a high degree of comfort with courtroom life.
Rick is a Newport Beach, California resident, where he lives with his family, who enjoy spending an exceptional amount of time at the beach. Living in close proximity to the beach, Rick and his family enjoy bicycle riding and outdoor cooking – including grilling and smoking food with friends and family.
